Here we are at the end of January. Wasn't Christmas just a few days ago? The month has flown by for me, but a lot has happened.
We took a break from trail rides the week between Christmas and New Years, and it was a nice break for us and the horses. We've been "back in the saddle" since the first of the year, and we've met some great people coming out for trail rides and horse experiences! Here's just a few of them.
I'm sure many of you read that on January 10th we lost our sweet Percheron mare Lemon. She died unexpectedly from what we can only assume was a heart issue. She touched many lives in the year we had her, and she will be greatly missed. Thank you to everyone who sent condolences and your stories of Lemon.
We just recently added a new member to the HPR family. He is a 12 year old quarter horse/percheron cross gelding. The other horses welcomed him without any problems, and we are already falling in love! We need a little help choosing a name for him, so we are hosting a name contest on our Facebook page. If we chose your name you will win a free trail ride for two!
